Pitching Without Apologizing

Most weak pitches are not weak ideas. They are strong ideas delivered by someone hedging.

Open with the image, not the genre. Give the room one picture they can hold — the thing they'd see in the trailer — then the character, then the engine.

Practice the pitch out loud until you can lose your place and keep going. Fluency reads as conviction, and conviction is what gets a script read on the weekend.
